NETWORK

zambracca.it is a portal entirely dedicated to the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the monumental citadel located in Gardone Riviera on Lake Garda, the home of Gabriele d’Annunzio. The site offers details about the Vittoriale, the poet’s private rooms, such as the Zambracca from which the site takes its name, museum areas and gardens, and of course the Nave Puglia.

santacaterina.siena.it is a site dedicated to St. Catherine of Siena, one of the most influential figures in Italian religious history and patron saint of Italy. The site a detailed biography of the saint, exploring her life, works and the historical context in which she lived. In addition, the site offers a virtual itinerary of the places in Siena associated with St. Catherine, such as her birthplace, the shrine dedicated to her and the Basilica of San Domenico, which houses some of her relics.

The Argo

The name we gave to the project draws clear inspiration from the Argo Ship that led Jason and the fifty Argonauts to recapture the Golden Fleece, in one of the most fantastic and fascinating narratives of Greek mythology. Equally we wanted to imagine our project and application as a tool for discovering unusual and fantastic places in the most beautiful Italian cities.

“From you be the beginning, Phoebus, that I may remember the deeds
Of the ancient heroes who through the mouths of Pontus
And the Cyanean cliffs, carrying out the commands of Pelias,
Led to the golden fleece Argos, the solid ship.”

(Apollonius Rhodius, The Argonautics, I, 1-4 transl.: G. Paduano)
